And-Son Contracting & Gravel Enterprises Incorporated is a well established Northern Ontario company located at the US/Canada border in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Bill Yourchuk established And-Son Contracting in 1974. It has evolved from road construction, trucking and equipment rentals to wood recycling.
The 1990's brought an increase in public awareness of the value and limitation of our natural resources and introduced recycling programs such as "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle". It also brought stricter government regulations on sawmill, papermills, and the forestry industry. This resulted in the creation of And-Son's wood recycling division in 1996 - Waste Knot.
